International Institute of Tamil Arts

The Tamil Education Service, which has been promoting art classes along with mother tongue education in Switzerland, has also conducted fine art examinations since 1997. Many hundreds of students participated in this exam and the need to conduct this exam in a better way and across European countries was felt.

Based on this, in February 2000, the International Tamil Art Foundation was started by Professor Amarar Karthikesu Sivathambi with the support of many art teachers who were working in Europe. This organization is registered under the laws of Switzerland.
