The philosophy of Tryambakam yoga and yoga therapy is based on the belief that the focus is on people, their well-being and their self-efficacy. The basic salutogenic attitude is an important aspect of this philosophy. It emphasizes the focus on promoting health and well-being rather than focusing solely on treating illnesses and symptoms. As a yoga therapist, I view my work not only as a means of relieving symptoms, but also as an opportunity to strengthen my clients’ individual skills and self-confidence. I believe that every person has the resources within them to bring about positive change. Through yoga practice, these resources are activated and strengthened, and the clientare encouraged to recognize and use their own self-efficacy.
